Lorraine Scudder For the 101st District

About

The impetus to run for office is largely due to the stalemate in our General Assembly to pass a budget. And it’s not just the budget. Minimum wage, voting rights, taxes; all concerns of our Commonwealth. Pennsylvanians deserve better. My career has encompassed many different professions. I have held executive positions with nonprofit professional associations at the local, state, and international levels. I was a paralegal with an emphasis in criminal, matrimonial, and probate law. I’ve been a business owner. Presently, I am employed at a local business as an office manager and also hold the office of notary public. Through these positions, I have gained extensive experience in setting and implementing administrative policies and procedures, legal research, and dealing with state agencies.I have served on several boards and have held the office of president. I am currently president of the Lebanon County Federation of Democratic Women. I was an active member of Rotary and the Broome County Democratic Committee. I promise to be an advocate for the people of Lebanon County in Harrisburg. I will seek your counsel on the issues that come before the General Assembly. I will be your voice in all matters. I will fight for tax reform, equitable wages, fair distribution of educational funds, victims of domestic violence and child abuse, adequate funding for our social services programs, equal justice for all, fixing our infrastructure, and sustainable energy programs.

I will fight against obstructionism that is so prevalent in today’s politics. I also promise to limit my term to six years. I humbly ask for your support and vote on November 8, 2016. Thank you.
